WHO WE WORK WITH

Farmers and Plantations

What if climate action started with your soil?

Suitable agricultural residues can be converted into biochar, locking carbon into a stable form that can be returned to the land. Depending on the soil and application conditions, biochar can support water and nutrient retention and contribute to longer-term soil management.

Dawn Over Agricultural Fields

Your residues have value.
Your soil has potential.
And your farm can be part of the climate solution.

But we don't stop at producing biochar. Reclimate connects what happens on the farm with the technology, monitoring and carbon-market infrastructure needed to create measurable climate impact.

That means the people managing the land can become active participants in the carbon economy rather than watching it happen somewhere else.

Customer Testimonial

Hear from our local partner, KP Hidup Basamo Cooperative, in Pasaman Barat, Indonesia, about the impact of biochar production on agricultural waste management and local livelihoods.

“One of the major challenges faced by those who recognize the value of agricultural waste within agricultural commodity supply chains is the open burning of agricultural residues as a means of disposal.

Pasaman Barat, one of the regions producing significant volumes of corn, generates large quantities of agricultural residues, particularly corn cobs and stalks. These residues have traditionally been burned in the open to dispose of the accumulated waste. However, with the introduction of artisanal biochar production using corn cobs, the frequency and intensity of open burning have been reduced.

Furthermore, biochar production activities have created a significant multiplier effect for the local community. Beyond providing an alternative approach to agricultural waste management, this initiative has opened up new business opportunities and created potential employment opportunities for local residents, contributing to broader economic benefits within the community.”

Farmers and plantation operators are already experiencing the realities of a changing climate: unpredictable rainfall, periods of drought, pressure on soil and rising agricultural costs. At the same time, every harvest leaves behind biomass that may have little productive use.

Reclimate helps connect these two challenges.
